Burlington Lions Club × Burlington Electricity Services
On a winter night in Burlington, the waterfront has a way of pulling you in. You’re walking toward Spencer Smith Park and—before you even see the displays—you feel it: that quiet buzz of people arriving, the sound of boots on the path, a kid tugging a mittened hand saying “This way!” The lights don’t just decorate the park; they change the mood of the whole city.

What makes the Burlington Festival of Lights special isn’t only what you see—it’s what you feel: a tradition that welcomes everyone, asks nothing at the gate, and gives families and visitors a reason to gather outdoors and make memories.
This season, the Festival celebrates 30 years of holiday magic, with the waterfront transformed into a sparkling winter wonderland featuring more than 60 glowing displays, running November 28, 2025 to January 7, 2026. And it’s the perfect moment to celebrate the partnership that helps make that magic possible: the Burlington Lions Club and Burlington Electricity Services, together lighting up Burlington—year after year.

The Lions bring the heart. Service is literally in their DNA—“We Serve”—and every season of the Festival reflects that commitment: neighbours creating something joyful for neighbours, powered by volunteer time and community spirit. In 2025, the Festival also enters a new chapter, proudly presented by the Burlington Lions Club, expanding beyond Spencer Smith Park with new lighting installations and family-friendly events. You can see it in the way the Lions are inviting the community in, not just to attend, but to take part, through volunteer opportunities that help keep the park “shining bright.”

And Burlington Electricity Services has been the partner that helps Burlington shine, literally. As the Festival’s Platinum Sponsor, Burlington Electricity Services is recognized for “powering the magic” behind this tradition. That support matters in a real, tangible way: it’s what helps keep the Festival bright, welcoming, and community-first, supporting the behind-the-scenes needs that allow the public-facing experience to feel effortless.
When you step into the glow of Spencer Smith Park—when you stop for the photo, when you take the long way around just to see one more display, you’re seeing what strong partnerships can do. This is what it looks like when a service club with a “roll-up-your-sleeves” mentality teams up with an organization that believes in investing in community experiences: a tradition that doesn’t just mark the season, but strengthens the place we call home.
So here’s to the people behind the lights: the volunteers who show up in the cold, the Lions who lead with service, and Burlington Electricity Services for stepping up in a way that keeps this beloved Festival possible—and makes Burlington shine a little brighter for everyone.
